In the footsteps of Dian Fossey
In a recent article in a local newspaper, the Dauphiné Libéré our president, Amandine Renaud, is interviewed on the subject of her project: the center for care and rehabilitation of great apes in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The article shows the passion Amandine has for the great apes, a species threatened with extinction, and also expressed the difficulties of running a project of this magnitude. Finally Amandine expresses her desire to not only help great apes, victims of poaching and abandonment, but also to put in place a systme of environmental education and to create jobs for local populations, most particularly for women.
